EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent is required.

SKILLS: Thorough knowledge of pharmaceutical medical supplies and medical equipment required.Effective verbal and interpersonal skills are required. Basic computer skills are required. Familiarity with medical terminology, basic math and reading comprehension skills are preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Must maintain current registration with the NM Board of Pharmacy

EXPERIENCE: One year experience as a pharmacy technician, six months in retail customer service.

Close quarters in a busy environment. Low risk for infectious disease. Possible exposure to hazardous chemicals, medication, allergenic drug products and needle sticks.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand up for entire shift (8 to 12 hours), to stoop and bend over, to lift moderate loads (up to 30 lbs.). Hearing sufficient to answer telephone and eyesight sufficient to read prescriptions and job orders..
