The Pharmacy Tech in this position will assist in preparing, packaging, delivering, and charging of medication orders, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Includes the preparation of chemotherapy and hazardous drugs.
The Pharmacy Tech 's responsibilities include the following activities:
Accurately fill medication orders with correct strength, dosage form, and quantity in a timely manner,
Assure all medications are checked by a pharmacist prior to dispensing,
Includes all of the responsibilities of Techy II but also includes the ability to produce chemotherapy and other hazardous chemicals.
Required: High School Graduate or equivalent
Preferred: 3 years hospital experience
Required: Registered Pharmacy Technician license or Pharmacy Technician certification, as required by State law. Accredited training in sterile products preparation
