Overview
Atlantic Health System is currently seeking a Part-time day pharmacy technician in the Pharmacy Department at Overlook Medical Center. Hours will be 7a-3p and every third weekend.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
This posting is for a part time pharmacy technician to work minimum 5 shifts in a 2 week period and to work every third weekend primarily on the day. We are looking for day (0700-1500) shift and occasional evening (1500-2300) shift:
- Medication preparation and delivery, use of pharmacy automation which includes the Medication Carousel, EPIC and the Omnicell.
- The incumbent technician will also be responsible for the safe and accurate preparation of intravenous admixtures which may include chemotherapy in accordance with USP 797 and 800 guidelines.
- The candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and teamwork.
Qualifications
Education:
- Minimum of a HS Diploma Required
Required License:
- NJ BOP registration Required
Certifications:
- PTCB certification Required or will obtain within 90 days of employment
Related Experience:
- Candidate must demonstrate excellent communication skills and internal/external communication skills.
- Candidate must be able to work full-time 3p-11p.
