As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for answering incoming calls/completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity. This role is equally challenging and rewarding. As a senior team member, you'll help identify problems and determine solutions both independently or in a team/group setting. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high volume environment where accuracy is essential.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Location: Charleston, SC

Primary Responsibilities:

• Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
• Contact patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
• Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
• Resolve customer issues while ensuring accurate information is provided

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 3+ years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
• Licensed Pharmacy Technician in the State of South Carolina
• 2+ years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
• Ability to work Shift 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Candidates must be able to perform all essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications:

• PTCB (National Pharmacy Technician Certification)
• Pharmacy / prescription data entry experience

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Frequent speaking, listening using a headset, sitting, use of hands / fingers across keyboard or mouse, handling other objects, long periods of close vision looking at a computer monitor
• Service center environment with moderate noise level due to Representatives talking, computers, printers, floor activity
