Location: 6 weeks training period will be onsite at 5 Neponset St. Worcester, MA then will be remote with the ability to come onsite as needed.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7-3.30, 8.30-5, or 10.30-7
If you reside within a commutable distance to Worcester, MA, you will enjoy the flexibility of a hybrid-remote role as you take on some tough challenges.
As a Pharmacy Technician, you will:
Provide operational support to the Prescription department location
Receive requests to process prescriptions in an accurate and timely manner to get providers approval
Perform assigned prescription functions and duties in support of the prescription department
Take incoming calls and make outreach telephone calls to patients who have requested medication refills or renewals
Process medication requests following standard procedure
Check appropriate notes, pertinent lab results and order labs that are required to support requests being pended for provider approval
Check if patients are up to date with appointments and books follow up appointments that are required to sustain compliance with treatments
Select and pend correct medication, dosage, sig and number of refills with selecting correct pharmacy before agreements and updates accordingly
Process prior authorizations for medications that are not covered by patients’ insurance
Perform tasks focused on fostering teamwork and dedication to patient safety and satisfaction

Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
Current Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Massachusetts
Ability to maintain MA Pharmacy Technician licensure
1+ years of experience as a retail Pharmacy Technician
Preferred Qualifications:
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Previous experience with Pharmacy management software and operational platforms
