Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Boise is seeking a Pharmacy Tech Supervisor to lead our team of techs in our new, state-of-the-art Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine facility!
In our efforts to improve health in the communities we serve, St. Luke's is excited to offer innovative orthopedic patient care at our state-of-the-art Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine facility (COSM). COSM will bring together numerous complementary healthcare services, such as orthopedic walk-in care, a surgery center, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and many more. Patients will experience accessible and affordable orthopedic care unlike any other in the Treasure Valley. Our 230,000-square-foot facility will open to patients in February 2024.
Position SummaryThe Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for the daily productivity of pharmacy technical staff. Final verification of technician work is under the authority of the pharmacist.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day coordination for a team of Pharmacy Technicians that compound, prepare, and process medications/medication orders for verification by the pharmacist.
- Provide guidance and instruction to technician staff
- Monitor and prioritize workflow of pharmacy technicians.
- Lead performance improvement activities.
- Participate in employee evaluations, corrective action and other employment duties, for all departmental staff, in coordination with the department leader.
- Develop and publish employee schedules.
- Coordinate development and implementation of staff training.
- Ensure technician staff complete duties as assigned
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 4 years' experience
- Licenses/Certifications:
- Valid Pharmacy Technician Registration in state of practice
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)
