Overview
St. Luke's Health System in Meridian is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join our Outpatient Pharamcy Meds2Beds team for weekends.

Position Summary
We are looking for a dynamic team player to assist with the processing and coordinating of discharge orders for patients leaving the hospital. Inherent to success in this position are organizational skills, excellent patient care and communication skills, the ability to integrate into a team, and use of professional judgment. In this position you will stay at the forefront of the latest pharmacy technology and will work in a fast-paced environment to provide the highest level of care to our patients. Responsibilities
- Actively demonstrate the organization's mission and core values, and conduct oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values
- Recruit patients by educating them about services offered at time of discharge
- Track & monitor patient status
- Obtaining patient's insurance information and prescriptions prior to discharge
- Process discharge medication orders
- Identify and resolve medication access barriers including facilitating prior authorizations (PAs) and assisting in locating financial assistance for patients as needed
- Coordinate with clinical care team, case management, and other staff to ensure medications are delivered without delaying discharge
- Filling discharge medication orders including compounds
- Consistently provide superior service by responding to physician, staff, patient, and/or family requests
- Prioritize and self-manage workload
- Ensures adequate supplies are available for continuous patient care
- Adapt to workflow changes alongside a growing health system as patient and hospital discharge needs change
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Idaho Pharmacy Technician License required
- Six (6) months of retail pharmacy preferred
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred
